dc.description.abstractThis study investigated professionals’ perception of role of guidance and counselling in social integration of persons with special needs in Ilorin metropolis. Descriptive research design was adopted and a simple random sampling technique was employed in selecting 100 professionals. The t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used in testing the hypotheses raised in the study at 0.05 alpha level. The findings showed that there were no significant differences in the role of guidance and counseling in social integration of persons with special needs based on gender, religion, years of experience and highest educational qualification. Based on the findings, it was recommended that counselors, government, and entire members of the society should endure to work towards fostering the social integration of persons with special needs in our society.en_US
