As an important agency of culture, the survival of the theatre depends on its constant reinvention, newness and uncommon innovation. The African theatre artists who are mostly in the indigenous, popular and literary traditions are mostly responsible for the uncommon innovation, creative imagination and celebrated artistry that are extended to accommodate the postmodern and the postcolonial theatres.
