Lafiagi, a town in Kwara state is regarded as one of the Nupe towns that are clouded with scholars of Arabic both in classical and modern forms. With regards to this, it is noticed that there are little literary works in general, and poetry output in particular produced in the town. however, with the inception of the 21st Century, the town witnessed the emergence of youth who compete in writing and publishing Arabic poems that are characterized with literary and linguistic features, among whom is Sanusi Baba Harun. Sanusi is an Arabic poet, whose linguistic and stylistic prowess, such as: antonyms, synonymy and ellipsis are showcased in his poems. Thus, the aforementioned linguistic features have attracted attention of the researcher and shall be subjected to stylistic analysis and their semantic implications. this paper is segmented into five sub-headings: the short biography of the poet, general overview on stylistics, analysis of the antonyms, analysis of the synonyms and analysis of the ellipsis. Historic and linguistic methodologies were adopted for the study. The study was concluded with findings and recommendations.
