dc.description.abstractThis study attempts to investigate the extent to which students of universities use the Internet. The survey method was employed. Data collected show that students access the new media at regular intervals. Different purposes inform their respective use of the internet with the greatest number using the internet for academic purposes. Findings of the study show that many users have some deficiency and structural inadequacies in the use of the internet. On this basis, the study recommends that universities should provide adequate Internet facilities and enabling environment for student users at universities.en_US
