dc.description.abstractAbstract: Every literary genre is bound to certain components and features that will make it different from other genres in respect of the descriptive study. Therefore, this paper aimed at studying the plotting, characterization, conversation, language use and sentence formation, rhetorical devices and local colour as the components of the Arabic autobiography entitled “the land of comfort”, while featuring as actor, emotional conflict and sincerity will also be studied as the thematic features of the works. It was discovered that the writer fulfilled the genre to a large extent, especially in the use of elegant style and compliance with the established theory.en_US
