Abstract
The paper discusses the nature and character of government attitude to the provision of health care services in Kwara State since its creation. Through a critical examination of the historical antecedent of the State, the study discovers how poor social infrastructure in the rural areas, inadequate medical equipments and personnel have contributed to the poor state of health care delivery in Kwara State. The essay therefore asserts that these elements of retrogrades in healthcare in Kwara was a direct product of the bad, unethical and crooked attitudes of several administrations that had served the State in the past.
