dc.description.abstractThe Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria was established in the 1980/1981 Academic Session. Since that time, the Department has indeed redefined theatre scholarship and practice in Nigeria. This is made possible through the tripartite, holistic and total theatre nature of the curriculum of the Department in which emphasis is placed on The Performing Arts through the synergy of Drama, Dance and Music. I therefore, welcome everybody to the 1st National Conference of the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara, State, Nigeria.
