This research explores the work family challenges faced by women in the Nigeria Police Force and the effects on their career development. Female officers in Zone 7 (Abuja, Kaduna State adn Niger State) of the NPF were purposively selected for the study because of the location of the Nigeria Force Headquarters in the Zone. Force headquarters is where policewomen on the top ranks of the Police like the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) can only be found.
