dc.description.abstractThe software computer package developed was designed to analyse the heat generation and transfer for an electric furnace, and the selection of appropriate heater dimensions and material for the design of cylindrical and rectangular - shaped electric furnaces to meet specific operations at a specified desired temperature and to achieve certain performance level. Datas generated by the software "furnace" are graphed for heater material and can be used to determine electric furnace design for the cross-sectional dimensions and unit power consumption of the heater material. used at various electric heating power output for different desired operating temperatures not exceeding 1000oCen_US
