Accordingly, this paper x-rays the uses of remittances under the regime. The emphasis in the paper focuses on the pattern of remittances collection, allocation as well as comparative effect of collected remittances on Nigeria's development in terms of employment and infrastructural distribution across Nigeria. The findings show that remittances have begun to have some developmental effect on Nigerians. The Methodology for carrying out this study is a multidisciplinary approach cum historical perspective. It is hoped that the study will contribute to the ongoing discussion on remittance studies in Nigeria.
