In the year 2000, the Federal Government came out with the novel idea of constituting an Anti-dumping Committee as an effective check against a term that had become both obnoxious and debilitating to local industries, then much sigh of relief was heaved by local manufacturers. Paradoxically, while a progressive decline characterized local production, a massive increase in the importation of foreign goods was noticed. This paper therefore examines the danger in the dumping activities to Nigeria as well as the effects of the anti-dumping and anti subsidies programme of the Nigerian government.en_US
