Abstract
Summary
Nowadays, the aftereffects of lack of justice form the bulk of the contemporary themes encountered world wise.
One/ of the aftereffects is the abuse of power assumed by empowered civil servants and politicians in the land.
And that is the very theme developed by Amadou Ousmane in his book entitled le nouveau juge (the
new judge). This article chose to study the turns of phrases in the sentences of the speeches of the hero Ali
Yobo. The direct speech of the hero although considered subjective by (Todorov, 1981:47) is the corpus of the
study .The Peyroutet and Molinie theories of sentence study respectively developed in Style et rhétorique and
La stylistique are adopted as the theoretical framework of this work.
