One of such programmes is the skill acquisition programme (SAP). This study did, on empirical assessment of the impact of skill acquisition programme on the socio-economic development of women in Ilorin west and Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. The study adopted the descriptive survey design of Ex-post facto type. Systematic and simple random sampling techniques were used to select 50 women across adult literacy centers in both local government areas. A well-structured questionnaire was used to gather information from the sampled respondents. Two questions were raised and answered and the Iwo null hypotheses formulated were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The finding of the study revealed that skill acquisition programme has significant impact of women socio and economic empowerment in Ilorin West and Kaima local government areas of the state.
