The specific of the study was to assess: SSS students’ general knowledge of Yoruba proverbs; jence of gender; and school type on students’ knowledge of Yoruba proverbs. The - zdopted the cross-sectional sub-type of the descriptive survey method. A sample of _zdred and twenty (120) respondents was randomly sampled from the twelve (12) ’ " die LGA. The study adopted a researcher-designed questionnaire titled: Senior Students’ Knowledge of Yoruba Proverbs in treOpoOOO Local Government of : Siofe” The instrument contained twenty open-ended Yoruba' proverbs which the - ients were expected to complete.
