This paper examines the impacts of climate change on Nigerian cities. It describes the relationships between climate change, human settlements and urban planning. Published and unpublished materials were used to describe the vulnerability of Nigerian cities to climate change challenges. It later argued for the need to develop appropriate planning strategies for mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change in Nigerian urban centres. The strategies suggested include providing adequate infrastructural facilities and strict enforcement of building codes and regulations.enResilientUrban PlanningEnvironmentClimateClimate Change Challenges in Nigeria: Planning for Climate Resilient CitiesArticle
