His panegyric odes are considered as manifestations of his mastery in Arabic grammar where he explored different syntactic phenomena. His stylistic use of the syntactic phenomena is of significance which many researchers have not given adequate attention to. This study, therefore, examined the syntactic phenomena of the purposively selected texts in panegyric odes of Shaykh Muhammad Nasir Kabara such as; uslūb nidā’ (call style), uslūb istifhām (interrogative style), uslūb tamannī (tamannī), uslūb taqdīm wa ta’khīr (anastrophe) and uslūb alkhabar (predicate). The study adopted historical and descriptive methods. The historical method was used to document the biography of Shaykh Muhammad Nāsir Kabara and his literary works using both primary and secondary sources. The purposively selected texts in the panegyric odes were subjected to content analysis using qualitative research design of descriptive method. Among the research findings of this study were that the stylistic use of the syntactic phenomena influenced the cohesion and coherence of the selected texts and that the contents of the texts were clear in meaning and messages therein were better expressed in majorly, simple and complex sentences. The study was concluded with recommendations and suggestions.Stylistic Study of Some Syntactic Phenomena in Shaykh Muhammad Nasir Kabara's Panegyric OdesLASU Journal of Humanities (LASUJOH)Article
