This has triggered interest in scholarship on paperless information and communication. Despite interest among scholars and researchers on paperless studies, little is written on Nigerian setting and more specifically staff and students of Universities. Against this background, a study was undertaken to investigate level of adoption of paperless communication information system among staff and students of University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Based on Morgan’s published table, a sample size of 380 was drawn from the entire population (50,484) while instrument of data collection was the questionnaire. The findings from the study revealed among other things that use of paperless communication ensures easy access to document backup and recovery as well as highly reliable working software that allows proper management of information. The study concludes that paperless communication and information system is essential tool for internal commination strategy.
