Sources of these principles include the texts of the Qur'an and the traditions of the prophet. Verse 173 of suratul Baqarah is one of those verses from which these maxims are derived and for which Qur'an exegetes have variant interpretations. Using descriptive research,method, this work studied the position of a contemporary exegete, Az-Zuhayli on the meaning and scope of concession in islalm.
