From the population of parents across 5 randomly selected streets in the metropolis, a total of 300 parents were sampled using cluster sampling technique. The sampled parents were further stratified on the basis of educational status (educated and illiterate) and family type (polygamous and monogamous). The researcher used questionnaire called Causes and consequences of street hawking to collect the data. The instrument was validated. Percentage was used to answer the research Questions 1 and 2 while t-test statistic was used to test the raised hypothesis.
