A questionnaire based survey was done among the total of 100 adult and youths, but 73 questionnaires were used for the analysis, with 7.3% of the population. The population of the study comprised all host community people, adult learners and market women of 1,000. Four research questions were raised and one hypothesis. Data were collected with the use of validated instrument tagged Community Mobilization for Proper Waste Disposal (CMPWD). The content validity of the instrument was established using expert judgment and the test re-test reliability index of the instrument was 0.62. Data obtained were analyzed using t-test. The research findings indicated that the solid waste management system in those selected areas were poor. The community members have little or no proper orientation on how to manage and dispose their solid waste properly.
