This paper investigated the consequences of bullying behaviour on in-school adolescents in Ilorin metropolis. A total of 495 in-school adolescents were randomly selected for the study. Data was collected from the respondents using an instrument titled “Consequences of Bullying Behaviour of In-school Adolescent Questionnaire” (CBBIAQ). One research question was answered using frequency counts and percentages while three hypotheses were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 alpha level. The findings of the study indicated that 340 (68.7%) of the sampled respondent have bullied their fellow students or have been bullied once or twice while 155 (31.3%) have bullied their fellow students or have been bullied more than five times. The study also revealed that there was no significant difference in the consequences of bullying behaviour on in-school adolescents on the basis of bullying interaction and age. However, there was a significant difference in the consequences of bullying behaviour on in-school adolescents on the basis of gender. Recommendations were made on the desirability of providing preventative counselling services against incidence of bullying in secondary schools and remedial counselling services for victims of bullying and the bullies of different age bracket and gender in order to help them learn appropriate way of relating with others and develop proper adjustment.enConsequencesBullying BehaviourIn-school AdolescentsCONSEQUENCES OF BULLYING BEHAVIOUR ON IN-SCHOOL ADOLESCENTS IN ILORIN METROPOLISArticle
