The unit of analysis was individual article that contained related items while the reliability coefficients calculated using Holsti’s formula resulted to 75.5%. This study discovered that in the framing of ethnic issues, the newspapers differed significantly on conflict framing. However, as much as high attention was given to conflict framing, it was discovered also that peace framing was not totally disregarded by the three newspapers. The newspapers have not entirely done very badly but have left much to be desired.
