A total of 210 counsellors participated in the study, they were randomly selected from each of the senatorial districts in Kwara State. The instrument used for the research was a self-developed questionnaire titled Psychosocial Impact of Stuttering Questionnaire (PISQ). The hypotheses were analyzed using chi-square at 0.05 alpha level of significance. In carrying out this research three null hypotheses were formulated for this study. This study revealed that there was no significant relationship based on gender, working experience and educational qualification. It was therefore recommended that counsellors should assist children who lack confidence as a result of a stuttering problem. Counsellors can also help resolve the psychosocial and emotional problems that go with speech disfluency.enStutteringChildrenCounsellors and Psychosocial.PSYCHOSOCIAL IMPACT OF STUTTERING ON CHILDREN AS PERCEIVED BY SCHOOL COUNSELLORS IN KWARA STATE, NIGERIAArticle
