In Nigeria, religious tolerance as a means for peace is expedient because of the near frequent occurrences of religious strife during the past three decades. Within this understanding, this paper examines religious tolerance as a means for peaceful co-existence in Nigeria. It considers the manifestations and consequences of religious intolerance and the search for religious tolerance as a panacea for peaceful co–existence.
