Four objectives were raised and translated to research questions to guide the study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study and 9,283 was considered as the target populations comprising male and female students. A sample size of 361 respondents was selected. Multi-stage sampling procedure was adopted to select respondents that will be participate in the study. At the first stage, a cluster sampling technique would be used to sample higher institutions offering Entrepreneurship as a compulsory general course within Kwara State. At the second stage, stratified sampling would be adopted, because the population was group or divided into higher institution of learning: University of Ilorin and Kwara State University. A self-developed questionnaire was used as the research instrument for data collection. The reliability test of the questionnaire was done using test retest technique and a co-efficient 0.87 was obtained. The administration of the instrument was done by the researcher and three field research assistants. The administration of the instrument was carried out by the researchers and three volunteer field research assistants. The data collected was analyzed using mean rating and standard deviation. One of the findings revealed that the provision training that enables students acquire specialized skills, to acquire skills for self-reliance and for manpower training are the factors responsible for implementation of entrepreneurship education and job creation. The papers centered on the concept of mass literacy concept of community development. the relationship between community information centre und mass literacy und the importance of community information centre and mass literacy on community development. It is however concluded that information is a useful educational indices which help individual develop his or her potential towards the upliftment of the society where he or she belongs and the major recommendations from improvement were provided along the conclusions. that state and national government should be persuaded lo invest on mass literacy programne through an educative community information centre. Also funding of mass literacy agency for community to benefit from.Item Re-Positioning Adult Education Programmes For Sustainable Livelihood In Ilorin Metropolis of Kwara State, Nigeria(Published by Faculty of Education, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria., 2020) SHOLAGBERU, Abdulsalam Oladimeji; KAYODE, Sadiq Toyin; Dr. TAIWO, Toyin AmbaliEducating adult individual in any society is considered as a vital move towards liberating such individual adult. Thus, adult education programmes need to be readdressed to cater for individual adult needs in terms of economic, welfare and social development. Based on this premise, this paper explored the need to re-positioning adult education programmes for sustainable livelihood status of people in Ilorin Metropolis. Survey research design was adopted for the study and sample of 90 adult learners were randomly selected across three adult literacy centers in llorin metropolis. The study made use of a structured questionnaire to elicit relevance data from the respondents. Data collected were analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between adult education programme and reducing poverty level of adult individual. Also, there was a significant relationship between adult education programme, economic benefits and attitudinal changes of individual adults in the society. Based on the findings, i! was recommended, among others, that reliable and available data must be provided for proper planning and implementation of adult education programme. Society must ascribe value and prestige to this system of learning and appreciate it as needed for lifelong Education. Also, relevant and appropriate leaching and learning materials must be provided to adult literacy centres and adult facilitators/instructors must be adequately motivated.
